Week Thirteen Results

We are not a perfect couple. Having said that we sure have had a close to perfect Fantasy Football season so far. Perfectly fun is how I would describe it!

The 5 Rings Survivor Pool is down to two surviving participants thanks to the Green Bay Packers loss on Sunday to the Arizona Cardinals. Scott Pusateri and I survived thirteen weeks of crazy wins and decided to each take a portion of the winning pot, leaving some fun money to play for. A special thanks to Jeff Raupple, the 5 Rings commissioner, for running a really fun pool. Good luck to you, Scott, but I’ve been told that I dominate the survivor pools and I am feeling invincible!

Don lost his Hometown Trophy League 106-97 this week giving him a record of 7-6.  Mike Evans and Cam Newton didn’t help his score. Evans had a disappointing performance and Newton threw four interceptions. He is in a 3-way tie for first place, but he still has a few weeks to improve his record.  This is the league that plays all seventeen weeks of the NFL season with their playoffs coinciding with the NFL playoffs.

We survived another week in Bob Lung’s Fantasy Cares Eliminator Best Ball League. This was our first time to play Best Ball, so I am really happy with how long we have stayed alive. There are only four teams left in the Fantasy Cares League, so the pressure is really on!

Our biggest news is that we finished the regular season of the Football Diehards Listeners League in first place with a record of 10-3 and the high points total. Way better than any humongous trophy or big jackpot, Bob Harris and Mike Dempsey talked about us on their Football Diehards show on Sirius XM Fantasy Radio. I am thrilled! And of all the nights that we listen to their show, last night we went to a high school basketball game and missed the show! Thank goodness for On Demand, we were able to catch the show when I got off work today.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Harris and Dempsey for great advice and for keeping us entertained with their Diehards show. We have spent countless evenings on our deck listening to them, listening while out running errands, and of course Friday Nite Date Nites spent eating out and then listening to the Diehards. Being chosen to be part of the Listeners League was the highlight of my Fantasy Football career!

Looking back on this week has made me realize how much fun we have as a couple playing Fantasy Football and enjoying the friendships we have made through the game.
