Scott Fish Bowl 12 Live Draft

Today was the Scott Fish Bowl Live Draft at the Pro Football Hall of Fame! This is the first year for the live draft and we are thrilled that Don was able to participate.

Three Leagues – 36 teams – had this special opportunity to draft at the Hall of Fame. Bob Lung named the teams CAK (Canton Akron), Ohio and Neighbors and placed people appropriately based upon their location.

Don is in CAK and had the second pick. Bob Lung, the Consistency King and event organizer, and Troy Norris, who we met at the very first HOF Fantasy Football Experience, are also in CAK, along with lots of new friends. The Fantasy Football community is made up of friendly folks and it doesn’t take long to feel like we’ve known them for a long time.

Justin Herbert was Don’s first pick. This is a two quarterback league, so the QB’s went fast. 14 in the first two rounds, to be exact. It is also a tight end premium league, so his second pick was Kyle Pitts. Don is happy with his picks for the most part.

It’s a small world. Don’s godfather’s son-in-law, Gary Russell, was there today. Somehow, Don and Gary have never met before, and it is kind of cool they both got picked not only for the Scott Fish Bowl, but also for the Live Draft. We hope to see him again at the Expo!

After the draft, most of us met up at the Doubletree Hotel Downtown. We were able to visit with Troy Norris, who created the Smack Down Sports Legends League that we have participated in the last few years. Troy’s league is also a charity league, benefiting multiple charities.

We met the Fantasy Football Bandit who was handing out football cards to everyone. We will take it as a good sign that Don selected Justin Herbert’s card out of Brad the Bandit’s bag. Thank you, Bandit!

As always, Bob Lung hosted a stellar event. He is so talented, he can put together major events and make it appear easy peasy. We appreciate Bob’s hard work and always have a great time at his events. The Fantasy Football Expo is August 12-14 at the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown Canton. We highly recommend buying your tickets now at https://thefantasyfootballexpo.com.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to Scott Fish. This year there are over 3,000 people participating in the Scott Fish Bowl. Scott puts a tremendous amount of work into the Fish Bowl which raises thousands of dollars for charity. His hard work and dedication have brought many of us together in the Fantasy Football community. Thanks again, Scott for everything you do.
