Games Without Fans

Hey parents, cover your kid’s ears! Sports are back and without the roar of the fans, we are hearing everything the players are saying – LOUD AND CLEAR!

We are watching Cleveland vs Cincinnati tonight (Go Tribe!). The game is in the 7th inning, and the announcers have already reprimanded the Reds players a few times, reminding them that children are watching.

Fan noise is being piped in to the game, but it isn’t as loud as we are used to. We love that John Adams’ drum is being played – it wouldn’t seem like an Indians game without John.

Last year was the first year that we didn’t go to an Indians game. If we knew then what we know now, we would have made sure to go to several games.

We have been so excited to have baseball back on, even with the changes. The cutout fans in the stands are kind of silly, but we did try to get our pictures up there. For some reason, the Indians weren’t taking fan photos like many other teams were. They do at least have several cutouts of the players’ family members to make them feel like their families are there for them.

We are there for you, Cleveland! Our hearts and souls are poured into Cleveland sports every year. This year might even be more so with all the depressing and scary news we are exposed to on a daily basis.

Go Tribe! Keep it clean, guys. Lots of young ones are looking up to you and, believe us when we say, they hear the bad words more than the good.
