Don’s parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today!
The years have been good to them, and they are blessed with the rewards of sticking it out when times got tough.
Margie and Jerry raised two children, Don and his sister Jodi, and have four handsome grandsons.
Jerry worked long, hard hours to support his family when Don and Jodi were young. Even though he was surely tired, Jerry never said no to Don wanting to play catch in the backyard. Don attributes this to how he is always there for his son now.
Margie always made sure there was a meat, potato and vegetable meal for the family and they ate together every evening.
Don just found out recently that his Mom always waited up for him to come home, even in his college years. She would go upstairs when his car pulled in the drive, so he never knew she was awake.
