Week Seven Recap

We are closing in on the halfway mark of the regular NFL season! This time of year, things are really starting to heat up.

Bobby and Don are STILL alive in the Survivor Pool which is down to 25 players from an original 124. Bobby chose America’s favorite – whichever team is playing against the Miami Dolphins. Buffalo was behind early, but came back and the game stayed closer than anyone thought it would, including Vegas. Don picked San Francisco against the Washington Redskins which was a close game due to the rainy weather conditions. Neither team even scored until after halftime, making Don more than a little nervous.

Don won his Hometown Trophy League 111-65 against Tim, staying strong in the race for the huge four-foot trophy that is seeking a place of honor in our living room. Next week he will take on Steve, which will be a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl. (Steve won, but we won’t mention that again.)

Don lost his first FFPC game 129-124 with Mahomes giving only 8.0 points due to injury and David Johnson giving 0.2. Not 2 points! But 0.2. Don benched Johnson’s backup who scored 35 points which would have easily won the game for him. His record is now 4-3 leaving no room for any more losses. Fantasy expert FantasyMojo says 99% of the owners in the FFPC Main Event and Football Guys leagues started Johnson and only 1/3 started Edmonds.

The second FFPC game was a blowout with Don losing 158-107. He has a miserable 2-5 record in that league making it a total disaster. Record-wise it is terrible, but he is fourth in total points. He can still make the playoffs if he continues to score high. Luck of the draw beat him in this league.

That is Fantasy Football. Football in general. And Life.
