Week Eleven Recap

This was a huge week in the FFPC World. The regular season ends after eleven weeks, so the pressure was on!

Both of Don’s Football Guys Players Championship Leagues came down to the final week. In one League, he was eliminated and in the other League he made the playoffs.

The League that he made the playoffs, he was seven total points from being high point total in the League. Ending up with the second highest point total got him into the playoffs even with a 4-7 record. We think that’s why it is good to base playoffs by total points as well as record.

This week in the playoffs, Don will be playing Giant Killer 7 who had the 9-2 record and led the League in Wins. They played back in Week 2, and GK7 won, so Don is seeking revenge.

Don lost his game in his Hometown Trophy League which dropped his record to 6-5, but he is still leading the League in total points. Going into Week 12, he is a little behind the 8 ball. In this 16 team League, since there are not a lot of players to pick up, they carry player points over when they have a bye week. This week Don is carrying Tyreek Hill over. Hill got hurt in the first quarter last week, so Don is carrying over a big fat zero for Hill. There is already a little concern for the upcoming game!

The 5 Rings Survivor Pool remains at three, with all participants surviving Week 11. None of them had smooth sailing games, and probably thought at one point or another they were going to be eliminated. Good luck to all – it is hard to hang in this long.
