I know it’s football season but we have to talk about baseball first. We want to congratulate Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber and former Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer on winning the Cy Young Award. Sally and I have watched these 2 guys pitch over the past few years and both are fun to watch. We were upset when Bauer was traded but he stayed in the state of Ohio going to Cincinnati. Both of them had great seasons and were well deserving of the award. Bieber won the triple crown of pitching this year. He led the league in strikeouts, wins and had the lowest ERA. Unbelievable!!!!
Now on to our results. In our smackdown league Sally and I both won our games. Sally won 156-122 and I won 203-179. So this takes both our records to 5-4 and 1 game back of first place.
In my SiriusXM Ring of Honor League I won 142-118 over Fresh Prince of Helaire. I’m now 4-5 in that league.
I won my home town league by a score of 114-77 over Greg. I’m still tied for first place in my division with a 5-4 record.
In my FFPC leagues I went down in both of them. The good news in the one league is I’m still the total points leader. The margin is slim now so I need to finish strong the next couple weeks.
