Thanks for the Memories, Joe!

Yesterday one of Cleveland’s all-time favorite athletes announced his retirement from the Cleveland Browns. Joe Thomas has been one of our favorite players for years and we wrote a blog post about him last October simply titled ‘10,363’.

We met Joe Thomas in 2016 at a meet and greet at Gander Mountain.

Joe Thomas played eleven seasons with the Browns. In those eleven season, he was in 119 losses. However, Joe’s talent did not go unnoticed.  He was selected to the Pro Bowl his first ten seasons! He has protected twenty quarterbacks – can anyone name all the Browns’ quarterbacks since 2007?

He played 10,363 consecutive snaps. That in itself is super impressive! He never missed a snap until last season when he suffered a torn left triceps.

Cleveland has declared 7/3 Joe Thomas day. It is guaranteed to be a full day of Joe Thomas #73 jerseys with many great Thomas stories. Knowing Joe, he will show up at random bars and parties around town.

We love our autographed Thomas jersey!

If you don’t follow Joe Thomas on Twitter, you should because he twitters a lot. Fun tweets that are usually about sports and always real. He also retweets a lot – super cool if your tweet is retweeted! Joe’s Twitter handle is @JoeThomas73.

Joe was talking to us and started to misspell Declan. I felt a little awkward correcting the NFL star!
