Most Passionate Fantasy Sports Radio Listener of the Decade

Don’s new title is Most Passionate Fantasy Sports Radio Listener of the Decade!

Yesterday Don received a call from Sirius XM that he won this category in the Fantasy Sports Radio: Subscriber Ring of Honor Awards Show. In order to win, a person had to be a subscriber and had to write a brief summary about why they think they deserve this award. There were 10 categories to choose from, and “most passionate” definitely describes Don to a T.

Here is Don’s winning entry, which was a little difficult to write due to only being able to use 150 words:

“Have listened to the channel since Day 1 and the first 3 years of the channel I won my 16-team league. This had never been done before in our league. Even got my wife, Sally, listening to the channel because I would not listen to anything else in the car. We lost to Dempsey in the championship game in the Diehard league! We went to the Kings classic draft party 2 years in a row in Canton, and met Bob Harris, Josh Hayes, Feisty and others. We became good friends with Bob, and Sal communicates with him through Twitter. We went to the first ever Fantasy Football Experience at the HOF in 2016 hosted by Bob Lung and met John Hansen, Michael Fabiano, Jeff Ratcliffe and Mike Clay. Sally even ate lunch with Warren Moon! Since that experience we started a blog www.afantasyfootballcouple.com. This channel and these experience saved our marriage. We had some rocky times and because of the start of the channel and us listening and meeting up with everyone, we grew closer.”

In addition to the super cool title of being the most passionate listener, Don will receive a ring, an entry with all the other winners into a fantasy league (along with Michael Fabiano and John Hansen!), and an on-air spot on Sirius XM Fantasy at 9:00 am (EST) July 31,2020. The radio spot is with John Hansen and Adam Caplan and was recorded this evening. What a super fun experience! Thank you Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio!
