All Star Games

We are watching the MLB All Star Game tonight, and, as usually happens while we are watching television or listening to a show on the radio, it started a discussion. We (Don) wonder which All Star Game people prefer to watch. We (Sal) wonder, are there other All Star Games other than Major League Baseball?

The NBA All Star Game score this past year was 178-164. This offense-only game features the players running up and down the court, dunking, and showing off. It is a super fun game for fans to watch!

In our opinion, the NFL Pro Bowl is not very exciting to watch. It seems like half the players who are voted in don’t play, either due to injuries or because they are playing in the Super Bowl.

Fun Fact: The Pro Bowl winning players get a bonus of $64,000 each, and the losers get $32,000 each. Another Fun Fact: The NBA winning All Stars team get a check for $100,000, and the losers get $25,000.

NHL. Hockey fans might need to write to us and let us know about their league’s All Star Game. We watch a little hockey here and there, but honestly I don’t think the NHL All Star Game has ever been on our television.

This year’s MLB All Star Game is in Cleveland. Progressive Field is packed with baseball fans from all over the country for the first time since 1997. It is a beautiful summer night on Lake Erie – a perfect night for baseball. This is definitely our favorite All Star Game to watch.
