What a Steal!

After Thursday night’s game, Don is hoping that C.J. Anderson is the steal of the draft! He didn’t select him until the 25th pick in his trophy league.  He also drafted him in the Fantasy Football Experience league. The chatter has been that Denver wants to run the ball this year and even drafted a full back to block for C.J. Anderson.  Last night C.J. had 92 yards rushing, 47 yards receiving and two touchdowns for an amazing first game of the season.  It looks like Don’s months of research will definitely pay off with this outstanding athlete.

The game was about to start and I couldn’t make up my mind whether to start Jeremy Hill or Demaryius Thomas so I sent out a Twitter to Mike Clay (@MikeClayNFL) who quickly responded “Thomas”.  Demaryius gave me two points in the first play of the game.  Thank you for the great advice Mike!  This season I will have to depend on experts’ opinions as a back up for my not-so-dependable intuition.

The atmosphere in our home is already different than in previous seasons.  Since this is our first year to compete against each other, it promises to be quite interesting.  Our competitive spirits are strong and we both really like to win.  The saying, “It’s not whether you win or lose….”, does not apply in Fantasy Football.  It is all about winning!  Last night, I was keeping an eye on how many points we had – not against our opponents but compared to each other.  C.J. Anderson’s outstanding game sent Don way out in front of me, but it’s not over til it’s over!
