A Look Back on Week Six

Our weekend was full of ups and downs. We won a few and lost a few! Even our Youngstown State University football game outing was up and down – we had a great time, but they lost.

Saturday was an absolutely perfect day for football, and we were really excited to have free tickets to the YSU game. The YSU Penguins were taking on the undefeated North Dakota State University Bisons, and the game was the talk of the town. Even though YSU didn’t win, they put on a great fight, and lost by 3 in overtime. This was my first YSU game and I have college football fever! Everything about this game was fun including the band, the crowd, the cotton candy, and our seats way up high in the nosebleed section!

We won all of our Fantasy Football games this weekend – another “up”! Don is ranked first in his division of the FFPC league and 43rd overall. He has a record of 4-2, and we are very excited that he is doing so well. He won his Hometown Trophy league even though he was short two starters – DeVonte Parker and Rob Kelley. Marcus Mariota came back this week, but Don didn’t want to take a chance with another injury so he kept him on the bench. He is 3-3 in the huge Trophy league after his Week Six win. We had a big win in Bob Lung’s 2017 Big Guy Bowl League and held on to the number one position in Pros vs Joes! We are no longer the high point team but we have the best record of 5-1.

Both of our Survivor teams were eliminated this week in a definite “down”. Denver’s loss took down many Survivor players including Don and me. The Denver game seemed to be a gimme – one of the highest point spreads and an expert favorite. We are still cheering for Bobby, and with his beginners’ luck going full blast, I am sure he will be the last remaining Survivor!
