Friday Free for All – It Takes a Team

Real life and sports mirror each other in many ways.  Everyone has heard at least once, and probably a thousand times, “There is no ‘I’ in team!”.   A team of unique individuals can accomplish much more than one person by relying on the strengths of each team member.  

Seven New Gold Jackets

Last Saturday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 was announced.  Six players and one owner were chosen to join the 303 previously selected Hall of Famers. Congratulations Morten Anderson, Terrell Davis, Kenny Easley, Jerry Jones, Jason Taylor, LaDainian Tomlinson and Kurt Warner. 

Super Bowl Sunday

Some people say Super Bowl Sunday should be a national holiday with businesses closed the following day.  Millions of football fans will be up late tonight watching the game and celebrating their team’s win or mourning their team’s loss.

The New England Patriots are 3-point favorites in the Super Bowl.  Until a few years ago, I thought that if a person bet on the Super Bowl, they were betting on which team was going to win.  Who knew there are hundreds of ways to bet on this game and associated events.
